Barnett: Pentagon’s bug bounty program big bargain, just the start

Defense Secretary Ashton Carter says participants in the Hack the Pentagon program found 138 vulnerabilities in the network DoD made available to them. Carter called them “hackers who want to help keep our people and nation safer.” Rear Admiral Jamie Barnett (USN ret.) is former Deputy Commander of Navy Expeditionary Combat Command and former Director of Naval Education and Training. He’s also former Chief of the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau of the Federal Communications Commission. He discussed the “bug bounty” program on National Defense Week.
