Burke: demonstrating value is key to keeping DIUx, other initiatives going in next admin

Deputy Secretary of Defense Bob Work lays out his case to institutionalize the Third Offset, to make sure whoever succeeds President Obama carries it into the next administration. The Pentagon also wants to see initiatives like Better Buying Power, Force of the Future, and the Defense Innovation Unit Experimental carry over too. Sharon Burke is Senior Advisor at the New America Foundation, and adviser to the Pew project on national security, energy, and climate. She was assistant secretary of defense for operational energy plans and programs from 2010 to 2014. She explained how a new administration would analyze current programs on National Defense Week.
