Wong: Congress puts off long defense to-do list until after election

Congress is headed back to home districts and states, and won’t be back in Washington until after the November election. A continuing resolution is in place until December 9th, but two key items for the Pentagon will be at the top of Congress’s priority list when it comes back. One is funding for the rest of the fiscal year; the other is a 2017 National Defense Authorization Act. Kristina Wong is defense reporter for The Hill newspaper. She discussed each of the items on National Defense Week.
