The Defense Innovation Board’s first 11 recommendations are now on the table for Secretary Ash Carter and other defense leaders to review. The 15 members of the board include the chairman, Eric Schmidt, executive chairman of Google’s parent company, Alphabet. Secretary Carter talked about the goals and mission of the board and the recommendations they made at the Board’s first meeting recently. This week’s National Defense Week featured a highlight of Carter’s remarks. You can watch the entire meeting below.
