The tide in the fight against the Islamic State in Iraq appears to have turned against ISIS. But that doesn’t mean US operations in that country, or against IS, will finish any time soon. Last week Gen. Joseph Votel, commander of Central Command, said more US troops are headed to Iraq to fight ISIS. This week, General Votel talked more about the U.S. strategy in Iraq at the Aspen Security Forum. National Defense Week featured a highlight of his remarks.
